Phil Dirt - Reverb Central - PO Box 1609, Felton, CA 95018-1609 USA Cochabambas - Reverb Brasil Audio
|Three tracks from the Reverb Brasil website, one of which is otherwise unavailable. Cochabambas continue to be a band I enjoy listening to. Their approach is uncomplicated and direct.|
Picks: Fuca Bala, A Trieste Fim de Josefel Zanatas, Rudolph The Rednosed Reindeer
Track by Track Review
Big trash surf in a frat kinda mold, with lots of crash chord action and a bass focus. The guitars mostly crash out chords or noodle in a jam. The damped surf rhythm is cool.
A Trieste Fim de Josefel Zanatas
Surf Punk (Instrumental)
The grumbling drums roll out a near "Wipe Out" introduction before the guitar slides into a melody line that rolls and tumbles. "A Trieste Fim de Josefel Zanatas" features a spunky sound that transitions between a "Mr. Moto" delicacy and major chord splash. Double picked riffs and big crash chords, plus damped surfisms and garage edge. Fun track.
Rudolph The Rednosed Reindeer
This is an original interpretation of this classic holiday song. The primary style of Cochabambas gives it an engaging and different sound. Quite fun!
