Phil Dirt - Reverb Central - PO Box 1609, Felton, CA 95018-1609 USA The Cavalry Men - Battle Cry c/w Chang Chang Cha Cha

 | This is a funny little single from 1961, with an almost Al Casey guitar sound. For more or less easy melodies, it's pretty intense and loud. |

Rock (Instrumental)
This is a decent 1961 tremolo country guitar rocker, with overdubbed gunshots and shouts, and a nasty sax break. The drums and bass are muddy and way in the back. Still, it has serious edge and an intense sound.

"Chang Chang Cha Cha" may be an easy melody in an almost gentle format, but the muted patterns and loud lead guitar, plus the raspy sax break, all conspire to elevate it above the fray. The guitar is big via tape echo.
