Phil Dirt - Reverb Central - PO Box 1609, Felton, CA 95018-1609 USA Casino Volante - Their Motive GREED! Their Method MURDER!

 | Casino Volante are a mysterious British outfit. This 4-track ep was issued in March of 1999. The music is kinda surfy, but more chord dominated than that usually implies. The fourth track here is a spooky semi-romantic vocal called "One Silver Dollar." |
Picks: Generic Surf Song, Five Finger Discount, Special Red
Track by Track Review
Surfabilly (Instrumental)
"Generic Surf Song" is a rhythm dominated instro with a rockabilly beat and a chorded splash. Hinting of the "Pipeline" rhythm, this song is catchy and a little ominous.
Surfabilly (Instrumental)
Twangy surfabilly thrash, dominated by chords and a dark wash or reverb, "Five Finger Discount" is slightly dramatic and fluid.
Spaghetti Western Surfabilly (Instrumental)
"Special Red" is more surfy than the rest of the tracks here, but also like a chorded spaghetti wstern on the edge of being nasty.
