Cadillac Angels - Hellraisin' Arizonadotdotdotdot
artworkThis is a tasty glimpse at one of America's very best live rockabilly acts. The shear musicianship and writing talent of the Cadillac Angels always pleases. Their instrumental prowess in top drawer. This CD was recorded at two different venues in Arizona. The recordings are ambient, and that hides the vocals quite a bit, but doesn't mar the instros. Still, any glimpse at such a fine band is worth while. Nine tracks, two instro.
Picks: Fiebre Del Rey, Caballo Blanco

Fiebre Del Rey dotdotdotdot
Surfabilly (Instrumental)

This great tribal instro grooves with sultry rhythmic undulation. The jungle drums and sensuous bass support the bottom end, while the moody soft-link guitar carries you down the line. Infectious and very fluid.

Caballo Blanco dotdotdotdot
Surfabilly (Instrumental)

Spanish lace and white sands, red roses and a tequila sunset... this beautifully written piece paints tranquility across the view from your mind's eye. A very smooth and romantic instro, surf and Latin, like a suave Sentinals piece, except a little edgier. Magnificent!
