 | Of their single, this may be the most enduring. Still trashy like all of their early work, but show more development and talent. Tracks one and to are very trashy soundwise, but three and four are better sounding. |
Picks: Trash-Parade, Gunsville, Surf Inferno, Il Clan Del Siciliani
Track by Track Review
Surf (Instrumental)
"Trash-Parade" employs a solid riff played on the high-E, creating a thin ringing lead sound, backed by damped rhythm guitar and surf drums, and accented with swimming whammy and very cool vibes. A good song.
Surf (Instrumental)
"Gunsville" is an infectious rhythm track, with a haunting lead melody that displays a "Holiday Inn Spain" (Ray Beats) feel. Big whammy chords support the melody. Tasty track.
Surf (Instrumental)
"Surf Inferno" a rompin' fun track with big splashy flair and whammy chords, and an edge of trouble ahead. More thrash and intense than melodic, but quite effective.
Surf (Instrumental)
Slowish ringing surf in the general style that has come to symbolize Mafia scores. A long series of chords gradually descending in dramatic sadness, accompanied by double picked moodiness.
