Phil Dirt - Reverb Central - PO Box 1609, Felton, CA 95018-1609 USA The Bonny Boys Hot's - The Bonny Boys Hots

 | This four-song ep was issued in late 1968. Both tracks on the a-side are very pedestrian beat vocals, while both b-siders are instros. "Carrera Salvaje" is very interesting and borders on surf. The Bonny Boys Hot's were from La Paz, Bolivia. |
Picks: Carrera Salvaje, Czardas

Surf (Instrumental)
"Carrera Salvaje" is d erived from a Charleston song from the twenties. "Running Wild" is a bouncy number with an infectious rhythm and melody. The style is a blend of rock'n'roll and surf. Very fun!
Rock (Instrumental)
"Czardas" is a slow number led by tremolo electric piano. It's rather pretty in a simple combo kind of way. The break is faster and frantic, with a sound that shows a band that just barely plays together. The double picked guitar in the final verse is pretty cool.
