Bonejackal - Bonejackaldotdotdotdot
artworkFormer Buck rabbits guitarist Jamie Hamilton's new band Bonejackal don't play surf. They play extremely loud and gritty rock instrumentals. Born of constant power chords, sustain, grit, and loudness, this is all about power.

Track by Track Review

Green Tea dotdotdotdot
Rock (Instrumental)

Heavy dark rock, fraught with danger and gritty edge. Riff dominated, power surged, and loud. "Green Tea" is not an afternoon sipper! The long sustain just before the break is really cool!

Dragon Mahoozer dotdotdotdot
Rock (Instrumental)

Chop chord heavy and dark. Thundering bass and great abrasive guitar tone, plus precise, consistent drums. You wouldn't call "Dragon Mahoozer" melodic, but its array of slaughtering guitars is overpowering.

Starcrunch dotdotdot
Rock (Instrumental)

Thrash and burn chorded rock guitars drive relentlessly to a frenzy. The drums and bass actually hold "Starcrunch" from flying off the tracks.

WMD dotdotdotdot
Rock (Instrumental)

Sludge and chop chords for breakfast, loud compressed sustain for lunch, and writhing mercury danger for dinner... No shortage of power here.

Rocket Boy dotdotdot
Rock (Instrumental)

This is not your fantasy rocket boy, this is an evil mother with a deadly payload ready to be delivered. Feedback and sustain and harshness.

The Double Cross dotdotdotdot
Rock (Instrumental)

The rhythm chops chords are reminiscent of Lemmy period Hawkwind at times. but the sound is much more minimal. Very dark, and the long sustain adds drama.

2113 dotdotdotdot
Rock (Instrumental)

I was immediately struck by a memory of some of Rory Gallagher's early work with Taste as "2113" opened, mostly from the grit and pace and intensity. Soaring, rock powerful, and relentless.

Circle Of Iron dotdotdot
Rock (Instrumental)

Pure rock, demonstrating why a vocalist isn't necessary when the guitars rock. Very dark and dangerous.
