Blue Moon Messiahs - Unleasheddotdotdotdot
artworkThere are just a couple of instros on this CD, one very surfable, and one very different. The Blue Moon Messiahs are not you typical band. Surfing and the surfing life run through many of the lyrics. The arrangements vary from highly creative to downright strange, but always capture interest. It's very difficult to be this far from the norm without sounding gimmicky, the Blue Moon Messiahs have pulled it off. Tweaky and wonderful music for the brave.
Picks: Sugar Cane, Temporary Swelling

Sugar Cane dotdotdotdot
Surf (Instrumental)

A very odd and intriguing beat runs under this semi military instro. A mysterious Spanish flavored melody threatens and promises. Dry damped rhythm guitar and long notes in the lead. The gourd adds to the mystery.

Temporary Swelling dotdotdot
Concoction (Instrumental)

"Temporary Swelling" is a concoction of odd sounds and guitar notes, a drone with personality. Because of the guitar, it's almost aquatic. Bizarre without being tweaky or cutesy.
