|Seattle 1988, as grunge was dawning and about to take over the whole town, guitarist Jim Barrett and various sidemen cut this disc in complete denial of the winds of change. The album contains blues and rock and other things. "Ellensburg Surf [Love On The Run]" is a vocal, but "Renji News [Emergency Bulletin]" is a pretty cool heavy pseudo psychedelic surf track.|

Renji News [Emergency Bulletin]
Psychedelic Surf (Instrumental)
Rising from a soft sea lapping at the sands, a ringing guitar introduces a thick and extended post psychedelic monster with an ominous edge and long howling guitar notes. Many changes and ample drama punctuate this journey through the backwaters of the old Seattle underground. There's an aquatic sense about "Renji News [Emergency Bulletin]" that hints of a sci-fi variation of a Mermen or Surf Kings before their sounds were defined. Not that it sounds like them, but the large drama and sophistication of their work is also found here.
