Sitar Mania dotdotdotdotdot
Sitar Power (Instrumental)

Picking up where he left off on the first album, Ashwin Batish has gone farther into sequenced backtracks. His amazing writing and arranging continues to break down barriers. "Sitar Mania" is a lively and contagious sitar melody over busy and spunky rhythms. Very fun.

Hi 5 dotdotdotdotdot
Sitar Power (Instrumental)

Pretty far into clubadelic, "Hi 5" floats on an astral plane where hallucinogens and mystic journeys collide. There's a sense of awakening in a dream state where all is seen through gauze and nothing is real. A truly amazing trip.

Cowboys and Indians dotdotdotdotdot
Sitar Power (Instrumental)

Like a one man translation of "Smoke Signals" into Bombay legend, the buckaroos and Bombay beach boys (not the band) ride across the Ganges never touching the water. Rich cowboy guitar and sitar counter act to merge the two cultures. Totally amazing!

Cerebral dotdotdotdotdot
Sitar Power (Instrumental)

A decidedly intellectual journey through the inner frontiers where Aunty and Sarah Bellum ascend ropes toward the skies, only to find that all they see is what's below. To call it mystical is an understatement. To limit it to mere music is criminal. "Cerebral" is an experience.

Surfing With The Sitarman dotdotdotdot
Sitar Power Surf (Instrumental)

Big guitar and sitar interplay in a rock instro format flooded with progressive rock arranging and artrock thinking. Quite cool, and on the heavy side.

Misty dotdotdotdotdot
Sitar Power (Instrumental)

A vision of promise comes from the veil of night through the fog of dawn. Metronomic and flighty, this counter intuitive piece flows with liquid ease down a long shallow valley towards a bright new day. Very pretty!

Tropicool dotdotdotdotdot
Sitar Power (Instrumental)

On the edges of the Pampas where the palms sway in tropical breezes, you can almost smell "Tropicool" floating in the air. The wispy melody is played on beautifully echoed sitar, portraying a delicate afternoon of vibrant life on the simple side of the globe.

A Tabla For 2 dotdotdotdot
Sitar Power (Instrumental)

Percussion is the name of the game, rhythmically punctuating the liquid sitar, which paints a picture of dancing scents on warm breezes borne of the warmth of a Spring afternoon.
