![]() | This Provincetown, Mass band from the post-Beatles sixties are most famous for their pouty approach to pop, and for their drummer Victor "Moulty" Moulton, who kept time despite the hook that replaced his left hand, the story of which they immortalized in their epic "Moulty", narrated by Moulty himself over the backtrack structure of the Jaguars' (San Jose) "You'll Turn Away". It's so mushy, it almost brings a flood of "open manly weeping" (as the Torpedoes' Brian Poole calls it). So, why am I telling you all this? Simple, they also did some nice instrumental work. |
