Los Banditos - S/Tdotdotdotdot
artworkAnother fine disc from the ever evolving Los Banditos. Three varied and cool instros and an odd little "friends in a pub" vocal called "Song For Freedom."

Tannenbaum dotdotdotdot
Christmas Surf (Instrumental)

Rolling drums and damped plucking bring on the a tribal treatment of "O Christmas Tree." While it's pretty strait forward, it's also fresh with island steel chords and whammy. It's like a St. Nick hula with reverb. Very cool!

Komm Her - Geh Weg dotdotdotdot
Cardboard Surf (Instrumental)

A soft rim beat rattles under delicate island chords. It's quite intriguing, and a bit surreal. The melody is friendly and catchy. Dry guitar, organ fluff, and cardboard drums, and even a flute-like organ sound. It's all just too cool.

Security dotdotdot
Fuzz (Instrumental)

I was wondering if this would be the old Thane Russal song, but alas it's a fresh lumbering fuzz tweaked number that's nothing if it's not strange. A throwback to the odd side of late sixties psych. Grin required.
