Babies On Board -
artworkBabies On Board is an alter-ego for Board Waxing Babies out of San Pedro, California. It blends a goofy attitude with effects that should be but aren't lame. This is just fun stuff. These tracks are extracted from web media and are lo-fi for sure, but entertaining nonetheless.
Picks: Baja, Diamond Head, The Ninth Wave

Track by Track Review

Baja dotdotdot
Surf (Instrumental)

An extra breathy introduction precedes a goofy guitar and drums exercise that merges surf, effected guitar, and drums into a surprisingly cool track. This should suck, but it's fun, and it has an innocence that allows it to be OK.

Diamond Head dotdotdot
Surf (Instrumental)

A fairly stiff delivery and an arrangement that just doesn't flow, yet Babies On Board seems to make it palatable via their goofy innocence. Hmmm... I should hate this!

The Ninth Wave dotdotdot
Surf (Instrumental)

One of those cool rhythmic numbers by the Ventures that just doesn't get covered much. This is a pretty rockin' if slightly silly cover. Gutsy, yet non-confrontational.
