Chock Full Of Notes dotdotdotdot
Roots Twang Surf (Instrumental)

This is a bold double picked twangster like a cross between Dick Dale and the Torpedoes, mediated by cactus twang. The cowboy beat and string attack show power and thump to be alive and well. Cool track!

Sexyactioncool dotdotdot
Roots Twang Surf (Instrumental)

Big guitar twang, acoustic bass thump, surf drum groove, and a Nashville edge come together in "Sexyactioncool" for a splashy twang fest. Not far from the Eddy Angel school of instro rock, but not quite like it.

Your Ironic T-Shirt dotdotdot
Roots Twang Surf (Instrumental)

With a melody line that reminds me of Shadowy Men on a Shadowy Planet, "Your Ironic T-Shirt" has a sultry stop-start kinda structure, and an inverted spy feel. Gutsy and fun.

She's Got Haggar Party Slacks dotdotdotdot
Roots Twang Surf (Instrumental)

Wow, the rhythm section here is really cool. A roots rockin' rockabilly thump and low down lead guitar twang like a gutty Cadillac Angels tune. Very nicely structured and catchy. Excellent!

Day Of The Deadbeats dotdotdotdot
Island Surf (Instrumental)

This is one sultry groove with cool percussion and an island vacation feel. The sun down Baja chords and liquid bass create a warm carefree scene. While they are at it, they don't sacrifice crunch and twang. Way cool!

The Man With The Golden Card dotdot
Rockabilly (Instrumental)

Rockabilly twang and bounce with flair and a circular riff. Fun, but I forgot it almost immediately after it ended.

Her Sassy Kiss dotdotdot
Steel Roots Twang (Instrumental)

Lap steel and all, "Her Sassy Kiss" rides a fifties barnyard hoedown line dance with pure fun.

Swinger's Ear dotdotdot
Roots Twang Surf (Instrumental)

An infectious rhythm and crunchy twang, with an interesting semi cowboy riff and big twang. Cool tune.

Cold Black Dead Heart Polka dotdotdotdot
Suave Twang Surf (Instrumental)

Here we have a suave schmoozer with a semi lounge jazzy surf sound. It's not the ultra silky way the Aqua Velvets pour out the charm, but it's from a similar perspective. It's is like softcore on ice, with one eye on the gingham clad waitress and another on the fried chicken. "Cold Black Dead Heart Polka" plays itself for a pickin' fool. Simply fun.

Save Your Fork There's Pie dotdotdotdot
Surf (Instrumental)

In very close proximity to Miles Corbin's glorious "Quintana Roo," "Save Your Fork There's Pie" tells a tale of melodic after dinner mints and tubular indigestion. The bright and circular melody is almost as inviting here as in the original format. Where Miles made it silky and delicately reverbed, Atomic 7 use a little crunch and twang. There's even a kind of Dick Dale-ish verse. Quite interesting!

Artistry In Nachos dotdotdot
Roots Twang (Instrumental)

A bit of damped cowboy pluckabilly bounce and jovial grin-bearing fun are spread across the still evening air at the hoedown. Fun!

Hairbone dotdotdot
Roots Twang (Instrumental)

fast and pure countrified fun, the rootsy innocence of "Hairbone" is catchy and joyous. A too-fun kinda track.

Seven Stranded Castanets dotdotdot
Paradise Twang (Instrumental)

A bit of the samba that bit the dog so to speak. A smooth suaveness flows with the warm tones and soft beat. "Seven Stranded Castanets" is a pretty and intriguing track, with the requisite liquefied whammy and paradise chords to make it shine.

You Ain't Havin' Fun Till You're Dialing 911 dotdotdot
Roots Twang (Instrumental)

Back at the chicken jazz farm, Atomic 7 are again infected with simpler times and bouncy rhythms. "You Ain't Havin' Fun Till You're Dialing 911" is simply fun.

Guitar For Sale dotdotdot
Memphis Twang (Instrumental)

With big "Mystery Train" chords and a hint of Lonnie Mack, "Guitar For Sale" moves right along with a familiar bounce and rockin' jive. Quite a cool track.

Mimi, Queen Of Bathurst dotdotdot
Country Twang (Instrumental)

"Mimi, Queen Of Bathurst" is a soft and groovy country instro with guitar charm and an easy gate. It slithers right into your subconscious, leaving you warmly smiling. Nice track!

Loving Not Gouging dotdotdotdot
Surf Twango (Instrumental)

Whammy twango, a very cool guitar line, and a surf sensibility cohabitate in an energetic and inviting song. "Loving Not Gouging" is well written and attractive.

Phantom 101 dotdotdotdot
Cowboy Surf Twang (Instrumental)

Gutty low note guitar, almost in the Jet Harris range, drives this rockabilly beat powered twangster. "Phantom 101" is a mighty fine track, with rich tome and just enough edge.
