 | Los Apson were a rock'n'roll band from the Sonora region of Mexico that cut mostly covers of American and British hits. Their version of Satisfaction is the stuff of legend. This collection of tracks include three instros. |
Picks: El Tren De Memphis, Corazon De Roca, El Paso Del Elefantito
Track by Track Review
Train Rock (Instrumental)
The train is brought forth by galloping drums and sax playing a train whistle. The guitar lead is western and very cool. "El Tren De Memphis" reminds me of some of the Champs' songs. This is very fun and light hearted.
Corazon De Roca
Rock (Instrumental)
"Corazon De Roca" is a mid tempo blues number with a saxy fifties sound. It's not particularly engaging.
Zoo Surf (Instrumental)
"El Paso Del Elefantito" translates to "Baby Elephant Walk." I'm quite sure that Henry Mancini didn't mean this, though perhaps he should have. Surfish second guitar, whacky lead, and a relentless rhythm track. It's quite a cool track.
