|Mexico's Apolo XIII plays a hard rockin' variation of surf based instrumental coolness that's definitely worth checking out. This is a partial review of Apolo XIII made up of the tracks I've been able to glean from the web. There is at least one CD, but I've been unable to obtain a copy for review to date.|
Picks: El Inodoro Asecino, Salamandra, Estatica

This is an aggressive and very dark double picked number with an ominous melody line, stinging whammy, wah wah bridges, and a compelling hard rock drive. The sound is pretty demo, but it sure does rock!
Aggressive and rock driven double picked with harsh tone and a circular riff. It's hard to ignore instros with this much spunk. "Salamandra" also goes by the title "Sanblue."
A relentless and chunky chord chop opens with samples narratives, but then quickly evolves into a somewhat thrashy and harsh instro featuring a dark riff and some interesting guitar phasing effects.
