Davie Allan - An Arrow Escapedotdotdotdot
artworkDavie Allan's heart has always been in Country music. After 30+ years of making the best biker fuzz around, he finally made the record he always wanted to. It is an honest and very enjoyable country album, performed with and by his friends. The remarkable thing is, that even when he rearranged "Blue's Theme" for the session, it still has his signature feel. Davie's writing is unique and always top drawer, and when he's singing his first love music, it all comes together with real heart. Davie signed my copy of this LP "I left the 'waves' and headed for the 'hills' 'cause I was 'surf bored,' but I'll be back." A great record from 1986!

Davie's countrification of his signature song "Blue's Theme" is priceless. The acoustic back porch approach works really well, and demonstrates the power of Davie's writing. A wonderful side trip along the cycle path.
