Stoked On Surf dotdotdotdot
Surf (Instrumental)

First off, this is a medley of a billion surf classics. Second, it reads like a who's who of surf hits. Third, it is way fun to hear all these classics turned into Davie's classic sound. "Stoked On Surf" includes "Pipeline," "Penetration," "Wipe Out," "Miserlou," "Surf Beat," "Let's Go Trippin'," "Surfin' USA," "Surfin' Safari," "Bustin' Surfboards," "Surf City," "Ride The Wild Surf," "Baja," "Walk Don't Run '64," "Hawaii Five-0," and "Outer Surf" ("Dark Alley"). The whole thing is done in Davie's monster fuzz style. It is way fun, and totally different in character than Jon and the Nightriders' "Splashback" medley.

Davie Allan is King Fuzz, and his sound is/has been at the pinnacle of biker rock and fuzz surf. This track is from his early eighties work with Chris Ashford, and was issued on a 12 inch ep. It's totally killer, and without a doubt, a great infectious listen. If you've never gotten into Davie's music, you've missed 35 years of incredible guitar work. He's one of the great unsung legends.
