El Chulo
Surf (Instrumental)
This earlier version of "El Chulo" has a grittier sound and feel, with no less attractiveness. Its fine melody line and layered guitars ride upon strong rhythms. Infectious and fun.
Greetings From Kanee-Ohee Surf (Instrumental)
"Greetings From Kanee-Ohee" became "Greetings From Kane De." This is dryer and more rockabilly like. The lead-rhythm interplay, tuff drums, and walking surf bass are here. Very interesting to hear its evolution.
Surf (Instrumental)
This 2005 demo is texturally different from both released versions, being drier and more raw. It's still a great track, just less evolved.
Surf (Instrumental)
This demo is almost as superb as the released version, though it's not as well developed and is fairly dry. The "Sing, Sing, Sing" rhythm charms.
Rockabilly (Instrumental)
"Spaziergang mit Hund" is a more rockabilly-like track with a big grin. Some double picked lines, and a somewhat intentional sound. Strictly for fun, with less chemistry than later tracks.
